The Six-Step OEM Customization Process
Step 1: Requirement Communication & Project Assessment (Day 1–3)
Go to the "OEM Customization" channel, click "Submit Customization Request," and fill in the following information:
• Product category and direction (attach reference images or e-commerce links for samples if available);
• Product specification description: material, dimensions, color, functional requirements, target weight, etc.;
• Target market: Which country/region will it be sold to? (affects compliance certification requirements);
• Estimated purchase volume and budget range;
• Logo and brand materials: If you have an existing logo, please upload AI/PDF source files; if not, the platform design team can provide it for free.
A dedicated OEM consultant will connect with you online within 24 hours to produce the "Product Development Confirmation Letter," clarifying product specifications, design direction, and pricing framework.
Step 2: Factory Matching & Quotation (Day 3–7)
Based on your product category, the platform will intelligently match 3–5 most suitable factory candidates from 10,000+ certified factories, providing you with a "Factory Comparison List" including:
• Factory profile, years of establishment, main product lines;
• ISO certification and export qualification documents;
• Production capacity details (maximum monthly capacity / standard lead time);
• Preliminary quotation (MOQ / unit price range / estimated delivery);
• Well-known brands for which they have done OEM (reference cases).

Step 3: Design & Sampling (Day 7–25)
• After confirming the partner factory, enter the design phase. The platform design team provides free services:
• Logo design (up to 3 rounds of revisions until you are satisfied);
• Outer packaging design (structural design + visual design);
• Instruction manual and sticker design (if needed).
• After design finalization, proceed to the sampling phase. Standard sampling period is 7–15 days, depending on product complexity.
• Upon receiving samples, carefully check the following: appearance dimensions, color accuracy, logo position and precision, functional testing (if applicable), packaging protection effectiveness.
• If adjustments are needed, note modification comments in the "Sampling Confirmation Letter"; the factory will complete revisions within 5–7 days.

Step 4: Mass Production Confirmation & Contract Signing (Day 25–30)
After sample confirmation, both parties sign the "Mass Production Confirmation Letter," clarifying key terms:
• Mass production product specification list (based on sealed samples);
• Final logo and packaging design files (as acceptance criteria);
• Unit price, total price, payment terms and credit period;
• Delivery milestones and shipping conditions;
• Quality standards and acceptance methods (AQL level).
Payment method is typically T/T wire transfer; standard terms: advance deposit → factory starts material procurement and production → balance payment before shipment.
Step 5: Production & Quality Inspection (Day 30–60)
During mass production, the Bee Source quality inspection team oversees three key milestones:
• Raw material inbound inspection: verify material, color difference, and specifications meet confirmation requirements;
• Mid-production inspection (when production progress reaches 30%–50%): inspect semi-finished products to identify and correct process deviations early;
• Pre-shipment full inspection: conduct item-by-item inspection of finished products for appearance, function, and packaging according to AQL 2.5 standard; products failing the quality rate must be reworked.
Full quality inspection reports are synced to your account in real time. If issues are found, the quality team will notify you within 24 hours and push the factory for corrective action.
Step 6: Export Customs Clearance & Logistics (Day 60–75)
After quality inspection passes, the platform provides end-to-end export agency services:
• Commodity inspection and customs clearance: cooperate with China Customs for export declaration;
• Certificate of Origin (CO / Form E / Form A, etc.);
• International logistics arrangement: supports DHL, air freight, sea freight, FBA New Express, and other channels;
• DDP service: opt for the platform to handle destination customs clearance and duties (delivered duty paid).
